This was the trip when I realized it.
I always love and gravitate to the grand scene, which is the landscaper photographer's ultimate quest. But in Utah, I came to see that including the trail as a consistent and grounding compositional element just made so much sense. Grand scene plus the trail. It leads me forward yet brings me back there every time.
